Godsmark-Ford & Craig bolster TNS backline ahead of Europe
The New Saints have strengthened their defence with the double signing of Harvey Godsmark-Ford and Kade Craig ahead of their UEFA Champions League qualifying campaign.
21-year-old Godsmark-Ford joins after 14 years at Leicester City. A regular in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy, he captained the Foxes’ U21 side last season and made over 90 appearances across youth competitions. Primarily a centre-back, he can also operate at right-back or in midfield.
Meanwhile, Craig arrives from Solihull Moors after spells in the National League and National League North. The 22-year-old defender featured for Brackley Town last season and was part of Solihull’s 2024 Play-Off Final squad. Known for his versatility, Craig can cover across the back line.
Both players join in time for TNS’s first-round clash with KF Shkendija, with the home leg at Park Hall on Tuesday July 8.
TNS boss Craig Harrison described both signings as “versatile with good pedigrees” as the club prepares for another European campaign.

Connor Roberts comes out of retirement
Caernarfon Town have completed the shock signing of goalkeeper Connor Roberts, who comes out of retirement to join the Cymru Premier side.
Roberts, 31, had only recently stepped away from the game after a hugely successful spell with The New Saints, where he played a key role in their domestic treble during the 2024-25 season. His performances also earned him a place in the Wales senior training squad earlier this year.
Now, in a surprise twist, he’s heading to The Oval to join Richard Davies' squad ahead of the new campaign. The move is a major coup for Caernarfon, who bring in not only a vastly experienced keeper but also a proven leader at the top level of Welsh domestic football.
Roberts' return will be watched closely, as the Cofis look to push on in what’s set to be a hugely competitive Cymru Premier season.

Louis Robles joins Colwyn Bay from Bala Town
Colwyn Bay FC have secured the signing of winger Louis Robles after his departure from Bala Town. The 28-year-old, who started his career in the Liverpool academy and has since gained experience across Wigan Athletic, Spain’s Atlético Baleares and San Roque de Lepe, brings a wealth of Cymru Premier knowhow to the Bay.
Robles returned to Bala Town in June 2024 after spells with Newtown and has once again decided to move on, joining Colwyn Bay ahead of the new season.
He has played close to 160 games in the Welsh top flight, offering proven quality and experience at this level.
His arrival is expected to inject creativity and goal threat down the flanks, bolstering Bay’s attacking options.
A strong addition for Colwyn Bay, Robles is set to use his experience at higher levels to help push the team up the table this season.

Golden Boot winner Louis Lloyd seals move to St Johnstone
St Johnstone are set to sign Louis Lloyd from Caernarfon Town, with reports in Scotland from The Courier Sport saying a deal is already done.
The 21-year-old striker lit up the Cymru Premier last season, finishing as the league’s top scorer and helping Caernarfon to a top-six finish. Now, he’s heading north for a big step up in the Scottish Championship.

AFC Fylde have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Zac Jones
The New Zealand international arrives after keeping 15 clean sheets last season for Haverfordwest County, playing a key role in their push for Europe. Now out of contract, Jones joins the Coasters looking to make his mark in English football.

Harry Dean signs for Bala Town
Bala Town have confirmed the signing of former Wrexham defender Harry Dean. The 18-year-old came through the ranks at the Racecourse and signed a pro deal last summer before departing at the end of the 2024–25 season. He now joins the Lakesiders as they prepare for the new campaign.

Nomads Land Midfielder Sharif
Connah’s Quay Nomads have added more quality to their midfield with the arrival of Abdi Sharif ahead of the new season.
The 24-year-old, who made his name coming through the Liverpool Academy, brings pedigree and promise to the squad. After winning the FA Youth Cup with the Reds, Sharif moved on to Wigan Athletic, where he made his senior debut in the EFL Championship.
Sharif spent the latter part of last season with Aberystwyth Town, making ten appearances in the Cymru Premier’s second phase and showing glimpses of his potential.
Now joining a full-time and hybrid environment at Connah’s Quay, Sharif links up with an already established squad and is looking to enjoy his football again with consistent senior minutes.

Parsons Makes Switch to Llanelli
Sam Parsons has completed a move to Llanelli Town, leaving Carmarthen as he joins up with the Reds ahead of the new campaign. The experienced full‑back adds depth and energy to the squad, having been a reliable figure during his time with the Old Gold. His arrival at Stebonheath gives Llanelli another solid option in defence as they gear up for life back in the Cymru Premier.

Louis Lloyd in Talks with St Johnstone
Caernarfon Town striker Louis Lloyd is the subject of serious interest from Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone. Record Sport reports that the Perth club have held talks with Caernarfon and the Courier claims a fee has been agreed. The 21-year-old is under contract until May 2027. A move to Scotland would mark a big step up for one of the league's breakout talents..

Alex Bonthron Signs for Llanelli
Llanelli have landed a real goalscorer in the summer transfer window with the arrival of Alex Bonthron. He joins from Cinderford Town after scoring 26 goals in 31 league games last season. Serious firepower for the Reds. He’s no stranger to Welsh football either, having hit 30 goals for Cwmbran Celtic in 2023/24 and winning the golden boot in the Cymru South.
Alex also played for the Wales Regions Cup squad Tim Rhanbarthol y De last September, scoring in all three group matches.

Jasper Payne Joins Cardiff Met
Cardiff Met have added firepower to their attack with the signing of Jasper Payne. The 20-year-old forward makes the move from Briton Ferry after impressing in the Cymru Premier last season. A promising addition as the Archers gear up for the new campaign.

Twin takeover at Colwyn Bay
Issa Kargbo has officially signed for Colwyn Bay, making the move from Bala Town on the same day as his twin brother Uniss.
After coming through the Cork City Academy together, the Kargbo twins now begin a new chapter in the Cymru North with the Seagulls. Same club, same day, same ambition. The Kargbo twins have landed.

Colwyn Bay have snapped up defender Uniss Kargbo following his spell at Bala Town. The former Cork City man featured 29 times last season and now makes the move to the Bay, where he’s already got a bit of history. “Last time I played here, the fans were roasting me. Hopefully this time it’ll be different!”

Met Make a Move for Mwandwe
Fumpa Mwandwe is heading to the capital. The former Nomads winger has joined Cardiff Met ahead of the new season, adding serious pace and attacking flair to the students’ front line. With Cymru Premier experience and spells in Canada under his belt, Fumpa’s arrival is one to keep an eye on.

Rio Booth joins Llanelli Town
Llanelli have made their fourth signing of the window with the arrival of attacking midfielder Rio Booth from Carmarthen Town. The 20-year-old made 32 appearances last season, netting four times, and was one of the standout performers in the Cymru South. He now joins the Reds as they gear up for their return to the top flight.
